Neruda Metin, M. Sc. Econ.


Neruda Metin has been a research associate at the Institute for Economic Policy since the beginning of 2023.

Her research focuses on the challenges of public debt, inflation and monetary policy as well as inequality.

After completing her Bachelor's degree in Communication Science, Economics and Business Administration (B.A.) at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, she began studying Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in 2019. She then completed her master studies in 2022 with a Master of Economics (M.Sc.) at the University of Cologne. During her studies, she specialized in  "Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy and Financial Markets" and "Growth, Labour and Inequality in the Global Economy".

Alongside her studies, she gained practical experience in various companies, including working as a student trainee in the editorial department of a publishing house in Munich, in the finance department of a French insurance group and in the area of Enterprise and Ttechnology Risk at one of the big four consulting firms. She also worked as a student assistant for Prof. Dr. Neuberger at the Department of Media and Communication at LMU Munich.
